Yoshioka Hamono is located in Ono, a region renowned for its steel forges and expertise in metal work. With a history dating back 1,200 years, the blacksmiths of Ono rival those of the northern Japanese city of Sanjo (Tsubame) in Niigata. Since 1946, Yoshioka Hamono have been producing a wide range of garden shears and tailors’ scissors. Their legendary curved topiary shears in particular have also earned them many enthusiastic fans all around the world.
