Description
Our Hidehisa Pointed Blade Bud Snipping Scissors “Pointy” have been designed for precision pruning. These “Pointy” scissors are ideal for pruning new buds, deadheading flowers, cutting succulents and bud thinning for fruit and vegetable growers. One of the most typical usages of this tool by Japanese gardeners is pruning pine leaves and removing new growth. This is a very common tool in Japanese gardening but not all scissors are the same. Some are only strong enough for leaves. But these Pointed Blade Bud Snipping Scissors “Pointy” are strong and reliable. Many garden professionals use both the tool and hands while thinning pine leaves and this tool is thin enough to keep them in your palm when you want to use hands.
These longer blades will also come handy when reaching through branches, leaves and thorns. Like all Hidehisa products of Toyama Hamono, they are hand forged and made by experienced Japanese craftsmen using quality high carbon Japanese steel.

Care Instructions
-Do not cut hard objects such as wire and dried flowers with these scissors. These floral scissors and secateurs are specifically designed to cut raw branches and stems and the blades are finely adjusted for this purpose.
-Do not sharpen the back of the blades if you are not familiar with Japanese shears (concave).
– To maintain the sharpness and if you are not using them for a while, say 6 months, we recommend you apply a drop of Japanese camellia seed oil around the rivet. Open and close a few times and wipe off any excess oil.
