- The floral scissors Warabite style are traditionally used in Japanese flower arrangements (400 year old floral art). The blades are set at an acute angle to cut without crushing the plant fibers. This means that the flowers can absorb water more easily and live longer. These scissors are best in class handcrafted floral tools.
This is the same design as the “Traditional Stainless Steel“, with a maximum diameter to cut of 1cm. It is also available in stainless steel. With the right care, these masterpieces will be with you for a lifetime. Suitable for professional use.
Two-piece high grade Japanese steel.
Ergonomic design for long periods of use.
Hand crafted in Japan by Toyama family who have been producing top quality blades since 1861.
Blade Length: 5cm
Maximum diameter to cut is 1cm
-Do not cut hard objects such as wire and dried flowers with these scissors. These floral scissors and secateurs are specifically designed to cut raw branches and stems and the blades are finely adjusted for this purpose.
-Do not sharpen the back of the blades if you are not familiar with Japanese shears (concave).
– To maintain the sharpness and if you are not using them for a while, say 6 months, we recommend you apply a drop of Japanese camellia seed oil around the rivet. Open and close a few times and wipe off any excess oil.
