The “Koryu” floral scissors are ergonomically designed and handmade floral scissors that are traditionally used for Japanese flower arrangements “Ikebana”. The blades are set at an acute angle to cut without crushing the plant fibers. This means that the flowers can absorb water more easily and live longer. Super sharp and beautiful, this is one of our best selling floral scissors. It is highly regarded and extremely popular with florists.
The “Koryu” floral scissors comes in a special gift box. The design is the same as Hidehisa Koryu Stainless Steel, but made with high carbon steel. Suitable for professional use. There is no chemical used for the black colour of the handle.
Two-piece high grade Japanese high carbon steel.
Ergonomic design for long periods of use.
Hand crafted in Japan by Toyama family who have been producing top quality blades since 1861.
Blade Length: 5cm
Maximum diameter to cut is 1cm
-Do not cut hard objects such as wire and dried flowers with these scissors. These floral scissors and secateurs are specifically designed to cut raw branches and stems and the blades are finely adjusted for this purpose.
-Do not sharpen the back of the blades if you are not familiar with Japanese shears (concave).
– To maintain the sharpness and if you are not using them for a while, say 6 months, we recommend you apply a drop of Japanese camellia seed oil around the rivet. Open and close a few times and wipe off any excess oil.
