Our “Kihachi” Garden Shears are robust and versatile. Their 240-300mm blades feature a unique indentation design. The hollow ground bottom blade is curved inwardly to collect sap, gum and debris, helping the blades stay cleaner for a more efficient cut. Combined with top quality Yasugi Hagane Japanese steel, this is one of the reasons these shears stay sharper longer than others. Their hardened steel blades also allow them to cut tougher stems than standard garden shears.

Made from high quality Japanese Tochigi leather, it combines practicality with refined craftsmanship.

Handcrafted in Miki with Yasugi Hagane Japanese Steel

These Kihachi Garden Shears are made from high quality blue grade Yasugi Hagane Japanese steel developed by Hitachi Steel. They are handcrafted in Miki, western Japan, one of the world’s most respected regions for handcrafted steel tools. The artisan maker, Yoshioka Edged Tool Works (Yoshioka Hamono), has been refining its craftsmanship and knowledge since 1946.

Today, Yoshioka products are trusted by garden professionals around the world. Their legendary 240mm curved shears are especially sought after by topiary artists and are custom made for Shokunin Store.
