This is an exciting announcement that you have a chance to win our best selling secateurs. That is right, people of Victoria. We are coming to Melbourne International Garden and Flower Show 2023 (MIFGS2023) to see you. This is so exciting. Not only because it’s the largest garden show in the southern hemisphere and the venue is none other than the magnificent, UNESCO World Heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens in the heart of beautiful city of Melbourne, Victoria. But this is our rare opportunity to see our supporters in person.
To celebrate our first participation to this event, we are inviting you for a lucky draw to win one of our best selling professional tools, Pruning Shears Black Masamune. All you have to do is come and see us at D24 on Southern Drive and tell us that you’ve seen this promotion. The lucky draw will take place after the show and we will send the secateurs to you.

Where is this D24, you ask. Well, come through the “Welcome Garden” at the entrance, walk through the Royal Exhibition Building to Carlton Gardens and we will be on your left where you will see outdoor exhibitor marques. The “Welcome Garden” is the first thing you see as you enter the show. Jason Hodges, the award winning landscaper and the former star of the Channel 7’s long running TV program, “Better Homes and Gardens”, is in charge of the MIFGS “Welcome Garden”. Incidentally Jason told me he will be using the very same secateurs Black Masamune to create this garden. Jason is one of the most recognised personalities in Australian gardens and we love that we have his thumbs up. Check out Jason’s very positive reviews of our products including Black Masamune and Kihachi Shears here.
This brilliant hand tool up for grabs is one of our best selling secateurs in our professional garden tool category. Yoshioka Hamono is the creator of these hand forged premium secateurs. Yoshioka Hamono have established themselves to be the best manufacturer when it comes to topiary shears. They have won very passionate fans around the globe with their curved shears which are extremely hard to make. Pruning Shears Black Masamune are made from a premium Japanese steel called Hitachi Yasugi Steel Blue Paper Grade. There is much to say about this steel. But to sum up, this material is a much more expensive and it is very difficult to work with. Then why use it? Because it gives users the best cutting experience and the longer lasting sharpness when master craftsman like Yoshioka creates it.
